How To Use
First, select a tail for your Echotail® that is proportional to the lure size. Next measure and cut the soft plastic body to the appropriate size to match the barbed tail. Insert the piercing tip of the barbed tail into the body of the soft plastic. Push the soft plastic tail towards the head of the lure until it sits up flush with the main body. Now, swing the back treble towards the tail and pierce one of the hook barbs into the body of the soft plastic. Only two of the back treble hooks should be exposed. This will ensure additional security to help prevent the tail from slipping off as well as preventing the front and back hook from tangling. It is recommended to discard any plastic tail that has been pulled off after previously being attached, due to the plastic material being compromised. Soft plastic tails are readily available at most tackle shops making them easy to replace. Be creative by mixing and matching different styles and colors for whatever action you desire!
It is important to note that tails come in various sizes and designs. The size and design of the selected soft plastic can directly impact how "true" the Echotail® will retrieve on a cast. Some tails may be easier to tune than others. Piercing the soft plastic tail so that it's either facing up or down can also effect the action of the lure. How To Tune
Tuning you Echotail® couldn't get any easier! In simple terms; if your Echotail™ retrieves to the left, just bend the tail a little to the right. if your Echotail® retrieves to the right, just bend the tail a little to the left. Bend the tail by first finding a hard surface. Next, place the body of the tail onto the hard surface and place firm, but gentle, pressure pushing the tail either to the right or to the left. Not much bending is needed to achieve the desired result.
